VIDEO: Esther on The Mau Mau (E4)

Here’s a short clip of Esther Bott climbing The Mau Mau.

The Mau Mau is a classic E4 6a lay-back crack in the Llanberis slate quarries. It is pretty pumpy, with a tough finish  protected by size 0.5 and 0 cams.

A great effort and good fun to watch! Go Esther!

(NB. She did actually have a ‘tactical rest’ on the upper bit, which isn’t in the film. This isn’t deliberate, I just didn’t capture it too well, and it was shorter without!)
